Welcome
Steady hands. Sharp data. Real results. Kinsman means "family," and that's how we work: as an extension of your team, not a vendor passing through. From fractional HR leadership to people analytics to the policies that keep you protected, we build the infrastructure your company needs to scale with confidence.

About Us
Kinsman HR Consulting was founded on a simple belief: your people are your greatest asset, and they deserve more than an afterthought. We work exclusively with companies under 500 employees, organizations that need senior-level HR leadership and strategy, but aren't yet at the size to justify a full-time CHRO or CPO.
That's where we come in. Whether you need an on-call fractional executive to guide talent strategy through a critical growth phase, a comprehensive HR audit to uncover risk and opportunity, a handbook overhaul that actually reflects how your company operates today, or interim recruiting support to fill a critical gap, Kinsman brings the experience of a seasoned HR executive directly to your team, at a price and scale built for where you are now.
What sets us apart is how we work: every program, policy, and recommendation is custom-built around your company's specific culture, vision, and objectives, not pulled from a generic template or generated by an algorithm that's never met your people. We believe HR strategy should feel like it was built for your business, not adapted to it.

What We Offer
Training & Development:
Building the People Behind the Plan.
Great training programs don't start with a catalog of options, they start with a destination. Where does your organization need to be in one year, three years, five years? Where are you today? And what's the gap between the two?
A skilled HR consultant helps you answer those questions before recommending a single program. The right training investment isn't about what's popular; it's about what actually moves your team, and your business, forward.

What to look for in a Senior HR Consultant
Not every HR consultant brings the same depth to the table. When you're trusting an outside advisor with decisions that touch your people, your compliance exposure, and your bottom line, credentials and experience aren't a checkbox, they're a filter.
Look for board-level certification.
The SHRM-SCP and SPHR designations aren't just letters after a name. They represent mastery of strategic HR practice, from employment law and risk mitigation to organizational design and executive-level decision making, validated by rigorous, ongoing examination. A consultant holding both has demonstrated competency across the full breadth of the HR function, not just one specialty.
Look for people analytics fluency.
HR has moved past gut instinct. A consultant who can translate turnover, engagement, and compensation data into a business case your leadership team will actually act on is worth more than one who offers opinions without evidence. A People Analytics credential signals someone who treats HR decisions the way finance treats capital decisions: with data behind them.
Look for scope, not just title.
Years of experience matter less than what those years actually built. Has this person implemented HRIS systems from the ground up? Designed total rewards structures? Managed multi-state or multi-country compliance? Coached executives through organizational change? The right consultant has sat close enough to the business to understand operational reality, not just HR theory.
Look for someone who's been in the room.
Senior-level HR work means influencing decisions at the leadership table, not just administering policy. The consultant you want has advised executives, built infrastructure from scratch, and knows the difference between HR that supports the business and HR that drives it.
